Can't Install Google Chrome

have tried several times installing Google Chrome web browser and keep getting same message 'unknown installer error'. Tried uninstalling, re downloading, dropped antivirus for install.

Downloads in seconds, but can't install.

Running XP pro with service pack 2 as requested by google.

any suggestions????

Did you download with IE? If yes try Firefox and report back

So, you're saying to download firefox as a web browser, then dl chrome....that will give me a total of 3 web browsers....should be easier than that. I suspect most people ude and download from IE......or am I a complete dummie??

Only tried to debug this issue!. I did not mention you must install Firefox, did I?

I can't see from your post which browser you have installed.
