I lived in Thailand many years as a younger man and want to return there to live. I am currently on Medi-Care and Va health care for end stage renal disease. Does any one know if either of these programs will pay for my dialysis in Bkk? I can afford to live off my disability, but can not pay for the dialysis.

I think you will find that the cost of Dialysis is considerably cheaper here in Thailand, than back in the west.

sorry to hear about your problem ,, have you asked back in the states if they will pay ?? and do you know the cost of dialysis in BK ? it maybe cheaper than you think ,,, l dont know , just a thought ,, you can look up different hospitals websites they might give you a clue to the cost of things ,,,,, not a lot of help ,, but others might have personal experiences that might be of help

Medi-care is no good outside USA. They will not pay. As for VA, I don't know for sure, but I bet the answer is the same. I don't think you want to be living here (Thailand) with the end stage anything, unless you have people available to take care of you.
