The three early morning flights BKK-NRT usually come up as the most cost effective. 6:30 is UA, 7:30 is TG and 8/8:30 is ANA. If you want to save, take advantage of a codeshare on one of these flights. For some odd reason, the ANA ticket for the UA or TG flights is cheaper than if you bought the ticket through TG or UA. I now use these flights regularly. UA is almost always on time. TG is always late and ANA is a tossup. I have a hatred of UA but I have to admit that the refurbished plane interiors and professionalism of the crews make it the No. 1 choice for me. The UA FAs may be frumpy and scowl but they are efficient and I feel safe in their custody. Last month's TG flight was as if the circus clowns took over. Old plane and bad food too. ANA was dull and cold on the service aspect, a couple months ago.

I never thought I'd praise UA. :)

NO IDEAS ??

Found several under $550 USD RT, appx 17000 ThB, which is fairly reasonable for that route. IMHO, to get under 15000 ThB, you're gonna have to look a lot harder. That route has been in the $400-$600 USD range for many years. You shouldn't mind paying a little extra for a non-stop.

Someone else mentioned the Narita Express to get from the airport to Tokyo or Yokohama. You can check those schedules online. There is also frequent and reliable bus service at slightly lower price to several destinations. Taken both many times with nary an issue. Bus and train sales booths are right in the terminal as you walk out from customs.
