Well i live on sukumvit and every night get offered drugs for sale (cocaine,heroin) on the street by blacks i presume African.

Why are the thai police not arresting these people?

Are they being paid off?

I have recently and many times in the past walked down Sukhumvit Soi 3 toward Bumrungrad Hospital where you have to pass by what is known as Soi Africa, just past the Akbar restaurant. There are always a lot of Africans hanging around the end of the soi but none of them have ever offered to sell me drugs. I know drug dealing exists there as there was a well publicized police sweep/bust in that area a year or so ago but I think the extent to which drugs are sold by the Africans in Bangkok is exaggerated.
