StrongView
Hey, I'm a beginner, looking to get in better shape and am interested in some martial arts. Nothing to "hot shot"-like. Just a person or place to teach you how to become more agile and "karate kid"-like. Any recommendations?

NedKelly
There's a place on Asoke somewhere you can do martial arts...they have a website but cant remember it. They do sort of freestyle meaning anyone is able to teach in a sharing environment. Look also for some Brazilliam Ju-Jitsu....a good form to learn. Remember also that really martial arts is all about the learning not the fighting.

Tornado
RE Ned's post - http://www.bjjthailand.com I would also suggest Muay Thai ,as any type of boxing training will get you fitter and a lot quicker.
Thaiboxer
Muay Thai is more practical than Karate and Taekwondo and this is the best place to learn it. It takes little time to learn and it will get you in great shape. If you combine Muay Thai with some Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, you'll have be pretty well-rounded. Good luck!
