VoxVader
Hi, I have True ADSL and I'm trying to use multiproxy for the first time. When I have IE configured for the proxy I just get network redirects and cannot access anything (and I mean *any* sites, not restricted ones). Any suggestions? Any other recomended proxy utilities? -Vox
Joey Boy
sounds like the proxy IP yer using doesnt work.. Try a few more, and one should work
sniffdog
Yeah, might take you some time ..... Or try this one: 216.148.244.69 port:8000
Joey Boy
you may need to be careful with the use of proxys depending on what yer using it for, the one above for instance could land u in a spot of bother as it will report itself as an anon proxy to the client yer connecting to. certain websites will put a block on your account due to this
Firefoxx
In the past, there were times when port 80 proxies wouldn't work because True was directing all port 80 traffic to its transparent proxies. I don't know if it's still in effect, since I haven't tried it for a long time.
sniffdog
It seems that port 80 proxies indeed don't work with True. I've tried quite a lot of them. I have the best result with port 8000. Joey Boy, I don't know what you're trying to say. Fact is that this (marketscore.com) proxy works very well for me since a long time. Sites which are redirected to the 'Network Probably Down' pages (it seems True prefers nowadays to use this pages rather than the 'indecent material' screen), this proxy displays the site. Joey Boy
I wasnt trying to say anything, I simply made a point about using half assed proxys
sniffdog
Well, perhaps you can supply a full assed one ....
