Ranong, Phang Nga, Surat Thani warned of flash floods

The Meteorological Department Friday warned residents of Ranong, Phang Nga and Surat Thani to brace themselves for heavy downpours and possible flash floods.

In its morning forecast issued at 4 am, the department said the heavy rains would be unleashed by the influence of low pressure mass over upper Vietnam and the southwest monsoon over the Andaman and Gulf of Thailand.
