Ijustwannateach
Are there any teachers/monks/centres preferably near Bangkok that specialise in any Zen approaches to Buddhism or meditation? I'd be especially interested in 'mindfulness' as a discipline.
Xangsamhua
Are there any teachers/monks/centres preferably near Bangkok that specialise in any Zen approaches to Buddhism or meditation? I'd be especially interested in 'mindfulness' as a discipline. From the E-sangha forum (http://www.lioncity.net/buddhism/index.php?showtopic=51011&hl=zen+bangkok) Post #5. THERE IS A ZEN temple in Bangkok! It is run by the Chung Tai Chan. The website is http://www.ctworld.org/108/GreatBuddha/index.htm and let me tell you, this order (school/group/lineage) is great. Unfortunately, the website is in Chinese. You can ask someone to translate the website for you. Rest assured, though, that the monks can speak English. Also from E-sangha: The poster, Dhammananda Bhikkhu, advises contact: The Chinese Buddhist Association of Thailand, 215/2 Mangkorn Road, Plubpla Chai, Bangkok 10100, Thailand Tel: (02) 224-2546 Fax: (02) 225-0447
