Can Visa On Arrival Having A Tourist Visa Stamp?

Featured Replies

Hallo, I quickly searched but no find the answer to my question:

can i have a tourist visa 2 entries ready on the passport (issued in italy) but don't use it when will arrive in thailand?

I would like to just pickup my gf and go out thailand after few days, so I don't wanna 'burn' an entry for that.

Can I get a visa on arrival instead of 'activate' the tourist visa?

Thanks for the answer

Ciao! :)

Max

Members have reported doing this. Up to the Immigration Officer. Do not put your Visa number on the arrival card.

It is not a Visa on Arrival it is a Visa Exempt Entry.

Many thanks Lite

so its something random up to the officer or there's any regulation on it?

Thanks Max

You are at the mercy of the Officer you deal with. Usually they are helpful and will oblige.

Have done this before with no problem, officer happy to oblige.

On a similar vein, I've just returned Thailand on a Single Re-entry and the stamp has not been crossed with the usual "USED" stamp.

I really don't think I would be game to try and use it again, but wondered if this is normal, ie not to place USED over the original?
