How To Use My Samsung Tacco With Macbook As Modem?

Featured Replies

I occasionally go travelling and would like to be able to use my Samsung Tocco as a modem on these occasions. It is a European version that was given to me as a present. I have searched the internet for ways of doing it with no luck. The Macbook seems to be hard to connect with phones other than the iphone. I found a hack for my last phone. Any ideas?

The macbook is very easy to connect with phones using bluetooth. Just go to "System Preferences" > "Bluetooth" then make sure the box is checked for "Show BlueTooth Status in menu bar".

Once it is in the menu bar (top right) go to the dropdown list from the little "B" in the menu bar and "set up bluetooth device". Follow the easy steps, making sure that bluetooth is turned "on" and "discoverable" on your phone. Then, anytime you want to connect, just go to the little "B" >your phone >connect to network. You may have to go into "Network Prefences" so it knows to use the "Bluetooth PAN" (personal area network) instead of your regular internet connection.
