Thanks.

It's really that easy is it.

have they changed the rules then?

I knew someone who visited Kunming said he had to have a visa.

I thought Macau was in China or is it like Hong Kong?

Cheers

It's like Hong Kong, more or less. To go to mainland China from Macau, you have to cross the border, just like going to another country. Going from Macau to Hong Kong and back is also trouble free and with a minimum of formalities. You need your passport though.

Thanks.

yes macau is under chinese rule, but its saperate land from china, visa is free and on arrival,no rules have been changed for macau, frankly speeking how long can one person will survive in such an expensive place which is full of casinos and tempting attraction.

Visa is very easy mate. just ruck up and get one on your way there. dont forget to sort out your re-entry for Thailand before you go though, dont do what I did.

Bet you don't do again though :)

What a pain in the rear end eh?

have not started yet, I still have 3 weeks. but yeah, I am guessing it will be a pain.

Guys - what are you talking about? I am planning a trip over to Macau (and back to Thailand) in December - what is this "pain in the backside" you speak of?

Actually I was hoping to be able to pick up a tourist visa in Macau (for Thailand) but I guess that is not possible?
