The Airports of Thailand Plc plans to arrange space at Don Mueng airport for investments in six projects to generate income, said Serirat Prasutanont, acting president of the AoT. Mr Serirat said this in a press conference on Monday in the presence of executives of the Thai Airways Intenational Plc and Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Co. The six projects concern maintenance of landing gear; aircraft spare parts; a terminal building for passengers of private and chartered planes, simulated flight training, small and medium-sized aircraft maintenance, and an international trade centre.

Mr Serirat said at present Don Mueang airport generates a monthly income of only about 45 million baht while the monthly expense is about 100 million baht. It is hoped that these project would help generate income for the AoT. THAI will be given the priority to take part in the six projects, he added.
