July 28, 200916 yr I need to know the rules and regulations regarding Siam Rose Wood.(Dalbergia cochinchinensis) I would like to work with it and apply it to very small objects, not much bigger than a postage stamp and about 2-3mm thick. I have been told many conflicting statements. 1) Illegal to own 2) Illegal to sell 3) legal to own just illegal to cut down 4) legal only if is used for Budhist Icons dolls etc the list can go on I do not need large pieces of it, and it is easily found at JJ market being used for spoons, back scratcher etc. I plan on purchasing it and applying as a veneer to custom head sets. (see photo) I just do not want to have any "legal" issues to pop up in the future. If you know the rules etc please post the information. Thanks

Thanks I don't know....but, IF "it is easily found at JJ market being used for spoons, back scratcher etc....", then it seems that, 1) Illegal to own 2) Illegal to sell 3) legal to own just illegal to cut down 4) legal only if is used for Budhist Icons dolls etc are all not true.....except perhaps 3) illegal to cut down.
