Extension Of 6 Month Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just a few Question about visa extension,

I am a German Passport holder and I got a 6 month tourist visa for Thailand back home in Germany. My visa runs out on Friday 31, my question is if I can just go to Jomitien immigration (i stay in Pattaya) and extend my visa for 30 days? I never extended it before, just did the normal 2 Visa runs after 60 days. So if i want to extend it, can I do it the day my visa runs out which is the 31, or do i have to do it a day before on the 30?

And also the passport that holds my visa runs out in 5 month, but I already have my new passport with me, would that effect the extension? Because my passport is not valid for at least 6 month?

Greets

There is no such thing as a 6 month Tourist Visa.

I think you got a triple entry and your current permision to stay expires on 31st.

You can extend at Immigration for a further 30 days. 1,900 Baht. You can do it today if you wish.

You seem to have several issues. First you seem to be here on a canceled passport (or are you saying Germany does not cancil old passport?) , so that has to be taken care of first - the permitted to stay stamp must be moved to the valid passport - your Embassy should have told you this, and provided a letter to immigration asking them to do so. As for extension of stay that should be done early as you lose no days - so visit Immigration now.
