Arriving In Bangkok Mid-august

Featured Replies

My first visit to Thailand to visit my son in Bangkok for 1-3 months. I grabbed a 1-day special return flight for $700NZ, which is cheap these days. I now read it's the monsoon season with plenty of mozzies, but never mind!

Any answers/suggestions would be appreciated.

What's Royal Brunei like to fly with?

Will I need some warm clothing - temp was 25C when I checked last night?

I'll be living in Jactujak area so will go to park to exercise daily - any other ideas please?

What's great to do/see for those in 60s?

Anything else you'd care to mention....THANKS.

Brunei are OK. No alcoholic drinks though.

Bring a light windcheater as you may get rained on. Shoudn't need anything heavier unless you go up North in November. Remember buying clothes here is much cheaper than NZ so bring a large empty suitcase to take back filled with goodies when you return.

As for what to do, I'm sure you son will have plenty of suggestions

Have a good holiday in LOS.

Thanks, confirms what I thought.

The son working in BKK for past 10 yrs has many ideas; the other has spent mths here over the yrs, but they sail in their spare time, so may not know as much as some of you about good daily stuff to do.

Anyone living in the Jactujak/Chatuchak area?
