Ex-supremo Threatens Use Of Force If Pardon Blocked

Thaksin in Thailand would be disastrous in the extreme but Thaksin on the loose abroad isn't a better bottom line either as we continue to see anew every day.

No major government wants him on their soil as INTERPOL likely could get Thaksin locked away somewhere for a while without having to return him to Thailand. So he frequents absolute monarchies and 3rd World places that are out of reach.

I'm sure the Thai Government has hashed this over a thousand times, but is there really no legal way to sideline him abroad?

No one is saying let him back at the helm.  In fact it would be best if the PAD was kept a equal distance from it as Thaksin would be.  Really just two pea's in a pod the Sondhi Thaksin divorce  has run completely a muck.  I am not to sure this is about justice and good government any more then pure hypocrisy.  Its more like    The war of the Rose's

Actually this is EXACTLY what the Red Squirts and PTP are demanding.

Thaksin is being sold up country as the party leader,

even if not PM he would CONTROL the PM.

They also in the name of 'reconciliation' want pardons of the whole

TRT / PPP / Red Leader troika for all infractions,

and give them the store to run again.

They have been VERY plain in stating this.

I have no problem keeping PAD from the controls too.

Not so much a divorce, that was years ago,

but they are fighting over control of the illegitimate children's inheritances.

War of the Roses, well maybe not. ~York and Lancaster's... not hardly.

But will there be a Battle of Bosworth to settle the issue before this lingers 30 years,

and OAK is fighting some Sondhi grandchild for picking rights at the battlefield morgues.

Thaksin at 90 still directing atrocities from Dubai? Battle of Bangkok, mai?

Or more improbable Oak getting married off to an Puyai daughter in the name of peace.

Well his reign would be more more Edward the II with grasping Gavestons and Dipsensers in hand,

than a Henry VII and Elisabeth of York joining to cement the two lines as one.

:)

Somebody must have told this general with the big mouth to button it. Haven't heard from him after making such a rash statement.

No one is saying let him back at the helm.  In fact it would be best if the PAD was kept a equal distance from it as Thaksin would be.

On the contrary, Thaksin's own pronouncements show clearly, he himself expects and wishes to be in charge, in order to save his supporters and the country, in their time of economic-peril. So much for repeatedly announcing his retirement from thai politics. :)
