The police Narcotics Suppression Bureau announced two major drug busts yesterday with six dealers on the northern border arrested along with 90,000 methamphetamine tablets worth Bt27 million and six traffickers from the Central Asian Golden Crescent network arrested with 4.8 kilograms of heroine worth up to Bt90 million.

The northern suspects were Aching Saejang, 33, Thaisin Khonkhabandalsuk, 25, Akhang Saelee, 25, Churat Upaicheva, 43, Phajon Chumsaeng, 47, and a Burmese man named Chit Koko, 47.

Deputy police chief General Jumpol Manmai said Chit, an immigrant in Tak's Mae Sot district, had allegedly exchanged rubies and jade for methamphetamine which he brought to his Thai accomplices for nationwide distribution, allegedly to fund a weapons purchase for the Shan minority in Burma.

A recent police sting operation caught Aching, Thaisin and Akhang at a petrol station in Pathum Thani's Khlong 3 area along with 50,000 methamphetamine tablets. A search of their Sathorn condominium yielded another 40,000 tablets. The group was charged with drug trafficking and Chit also with illegal entry into the Kingdom.

Two Nigerian men, Amabikuua Nbubuisi Laserian, 23, and Aninye John Onweazu, 28, and four Pakisatni men, Zubair Ahmed, 21, Ahmed Zalid, 22, Nabi Muhammad, 23, and Khan Khalid, 24, were also arrested at the Regent Inn Apartments on Soi Ramkhamhaeng 22 on Friday evening, Jumpol said.

With them were seized 4.8 kilograms of heroin, worth Bt15 million on the Thai market and perhaps Bt90 million if sold on abroad.

The latter arrest resulted from a previous operation in Malaysia in early July, he said, when police found that Nigerians were bringing heroin to sell in Thailand produced in the Afghan Golden Crescent via Pakistan for worldwide distribution.

I dont know why they bump up the price of their drugs to make it seem bigger than it really is. IT IS BIG why they need to do that.

it would work out that each pill was worth 300thb and a gram of Heroin worth more than 3000thb. I doubt very much that this is a realistic valuation.

Two young brothers, Tam, aged 21, and his younger brother, Jon, aged only 17,

were recently arrested on their slippery road to prison, with 15 Yaba tablets and over two thousand baht in cash, together with equipment used to break the locks from

motorcycles.

The two brothers were originally spotted, sitting suspiciously on a motorcycle, in the dark area of Soi 16, the old Police Department Building, on Central Pattaya Road. As they were questioned by police officers, the older of the two brothers, confessed that he was a drug dealers awaiting visits from his customers.

He explained to the officers that they were originally from the Kamphaengpetch Province, and had made the trip to Pattaya in order to find work. However, their plans had not gone as expected, and it turned out to be harder that they thought, especially as they did not speak any English. Newly acquired friends suggested that the only course of action open to them was to start their own business, dealing in drugs.

The friends explained to the older brother where he could meet a man called ‘Yu’, in the South Pattaya area, who would sell him Yaba tablets at 200 baht each, which he could then sell on to customers at 300 baht each, it seemed the ideal job for the budding entrepreneur.

He found a nice little niche, prying his medication to the Pattaya girls of the night life vocation. He was making a good living and would share some of his money with his younger brother, who he heatedly insisted had nothing to do with the budding business.

However, as the younger brother was carrying the equipment to break the locks from motorcycles, the police believed he was more involved than his older brother would lead them to believe. The two were taken to the police station for further questioning and no doubt will have their day in court in the near future.

Hello, the harsh treeatment in the prisons should deter most people from considering anything like this. Good job for the BIB, and some promotions are in order. Heroin will cheat the people that use it out of their life. Cheers.
