For info.......

Microsoft recently revealed several "new" problems effecting WindowsXP, following installation of Service Pack 2 (SP2).

NERO's InCD4

The installation of SP2 on platforms utilizing Nero's InCD4 software prior to version 4.3.7.3 causes up to 40 percent slower performance, due to cacheing problems. Microsoft is reportedly working on the problem. Installation of an earlier Nero's patch reportedly bypasses the SP2 changes, that caused the problem. Download patch here.

ACER Travelmate 3200 Laptops:

Some ACER owners have reported a 25 percent drop in battery operational time, following installation of SP2. Microsoft is reportedly investigating the problem. :o

.....and earlier

1394a & 1394b Download Problems:

A while back many WindowsXP users reported a dramatic drop in download speeds from video devices utilizing Firewire connections, following installation of SP2. If you experienced this problem, Microsoft now has a patch that reportedly corrects the problem. Info & download here.
