Being fairly new to TV, I still haven't worked out some of the TLA's used here.

LOS = Land of smiles

TGF = Thai girlfriend

BIB for the police, thoug I don't know why and TIT....I haven't a clue.

Any other TLA's and their explanation?

I came across "SFA" anybody can enlighten me?

Another one "AFAIK" used quite often but me no understand..

I'm reading your post as if you do not know what TiT stands for.

TiT= This is Thailand

When nothing makes common sense

ie

when i can't get a discount for the last rug in Homeworks as its white with big dirty lines across it.

"sorry sir, no discount but you can clean it" ;-)

me ... okay TiT.

When i first moved here i lived in TiT tower in Satu Pradit and its still there in all its glory and with TiT tiled in the bottom of the swimming pool ;-)

Thanks. I'm probably not the only one on a learning curve.

Off topic, but I'm sure noone will mind....still to do with the forum though: the gold rating stars, how do they work? I've seen threads with very few replies and views but with lots of stars, and other very popular threads with none.

The star idea was a good initiative but quickly on people ignored it. As you say, the number of posts and views is a determining factor as to the popularity of a particular thread.

Slightly off topic but of similar vein, omething I noticed the other day on a football website i read is this little feature to give a post a thumbs up or down...

Here's an example.
