Hi

I pay Maxnet 790 and that provides for I think it's 4 mb speed.

I went to the shop and said my internet wasn't great and they checked and said you're in an area where the max speed is only (can't remember exacly....let's say theoretically) 1.5mb.

When my internet is working at it's best it's just fine as fast as I could ever want...

My question is

If i downgrade to 590 baht will I get no lowering in speed because I'm under my limit anyway, or will it in fact reduce including my slower days.

cheers John

Will 200 baht per month be noticed? It,s not a lot of money to save and at least when the net is working properly you get ,ore speed.

Check it out: ADSL LINE SPEED CALCULATOR

You may notice almost every line is mathematically capable of 7-8mb but a downgrade is to consider if your signal swings or you face a lot of

disconnections. Bandwidth has a lot to do with the distance from your outside drop wire to the next DSLAM

You can buy a 8MB package... it will not give you more bandwidth if noise margin and line attenuation are turning bad over 2mb!

The clarifiy:

it will not give you more bandwidth if noise margin and line attenuation are turning bad over 2mb!

You will receive a 8mb signal transmitted from your media provider (and visible in your router) but your wire line can no cope with it!
