Hello everyone! I am from the US and am coming to Bangkok to visit my daughter in Jan. I would like to have a facelift, neck lift, and both upper and lower eyeslids done. Is this too much to do at one time? Please let me know if you have had this done. Also, I need to find a doctor that will do a great job. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I just had a face/neck lift and upper eyelids done by Dr Preecha from PAI, surgery done at Piyavate Hospital. After 1 week, lots of the swelling has gone and I start to recognise the person in the mirror. No real pain involved. Discomfort but I found it less than a bad tooth ache!

Some brusing is showing but i went back to work 4 days after. Disturbed sleep on my back is the worst part.

Going to see Dr Preecha this morning for some suture removal.

Good luck,

Hi,

I was planning on getting just upper and lower eyelids done this October. However, changed my mind.

Dr. Preecha (PAI) referred me to Dr.Burin, one of the other doctors in his clinic for $100USD less. Dr. Preech quoted that he normally charges 53,600 baht for both upper and lower. Dr. Poomee will be on vacation. And Dr. Poomee wanted to charge 100,000 baht!!! That cost included overnight stay in the hospital. I have not heard of anyone routinely having to stay in the hospital overnight for eyelid surgery! Not even in the states. I cancelled a consultation/surgery with Dr. Thatwatcai at Yanhee Hospital and requested to see Dr. Pitch instead. I haven't heard back to see if Dr. Pitch was available for a consult on the day I would like to go. Dr Thatwatchai reviewed 4 pictures of me (without makeup) and thought I didn't need surgery based on my pictures.

My friend recently came back from Thailand. She had both upper/lower eyelids done. And, her friend had a BA. She looks great after a month post-op. She went to a clinic in NonThaburi (outside Bangkok). The price was 12,000 baht for upper and 12,000 baht for lower. She made a face when I mentioned Yanhee Hospital and did not recommend I go there. She gave me the clinic's flyer, but it is written in Thai. PM me if you'd like the number listed for the clinic. The doctor she used was named Dr. Songyam (spelling could very well be incorrect).

After thinking and researching, I've decided to wait 3-5 years. I'm only 40 and like how I look. Although my eyes are not as firm as they were when I was in my 30's, I'll wait until a scar on my eyelid crease would be an improvement to the condition of my eyes. When I go, I'll make sure I can see the surgeon(s) I want before booking my airplane ticket. Since my ticket is already purchased, I plan on taking a Thai massage course at Wat Po or in Chiang Mai for a week.

I relayed all of this information to my mother. She still plans on getting her eyes done at Yanhee Hospital. She's not going to schedule an appointment before she goes. She is just going to show up and wait for whoever is available. Seems to be a common Thai laid back attitude as my Thai friend did the same thing too for her appointment at the clinic in NonThaburi.

Best!

Good luck,

I had a brow lift about 12 years ago. I really couldn't accurately judge the results for about 9 months. (I tried and I thought I could, but really, the final result just wasn't discernible for 9 months.) Ultimately I was really pleased with it- it looked very natural. I also had a nose job when I was in my 20's, and was very happy with that result as well. In both cases I interviewed a lot of docs (in the US) before I chose one. The skill of a surgeon is definitely not equal to how expensive he or she is.

Now I'm looking for a doc to do a face lift in Thailand, in about a year (I live in Bali). I'm terrified of a bad face lift. I do hope you'll come back and report in after you are all healed!!! Good luck!
