brought 3 non 3g dongle from the uk, anyone know if i can get it unlocked here ,and will it work with12call i am in ubon

Whatever you do do not plug it ia and start using it when it receives a signal from whichever network 3 has a roaming agreement with. It will cost you perhaps 5 quid for every MB you download.

HSDPA = High Speed Downlink Packet Access also sometimes referred as 3.5G. But still i would assume they work also on GPRS and EDGE as well.

To my knowledge there is no 3G rollout in LOS - I have heard there are test hot spots however.

Ergo, EDGE GPRS is it.

Normally these generic dongles are not locked/blocked - unless its like Orange, etc

If ya dont have a s/w program to run it, swap the SIM out with your mobile as it is easier to get on the net, once the settings are good, they are saved to the SIM - then substitute.

think it must be locked , put sim in it said wrong sim , will try to get unlocked

Sorry, but we don't allow the discussion of unlocking phones etc. As some methods are illegal and other methods not entirely clear if they are legal.

It is quite likely that your phone will have Class 10 or 12 EDGE. Most mid range phones have the capability. If I were needing the Internet on a temporary basis, I wouldn't bother with a dongle. Just plug in your phone and you are in business.
