I am an English expat, starting to build a house about 25 km North of Ubon (in the sticks) and wonder what is the best way to get TV / UK football and Internet, I am considering having a few PC's and having a small internet cafe. Is there anything suitable in that area do you know, costs, where to get the kit etc: please, any info would be appreciated.

Satellite service may seem like tempting idea out in the sticks but avoid it unless really desperate. Unreliable, expensive and slow.

Internet cafe setup requirements are the same just about anywhere in LOS. I would go to Pantip Plaza and discuss the idea and shopping list with several (not just one) of the network shops in the Plaza. You will get varying answers, but this bit of shopping/consulting should focus in on the most probable setup, requirements and costs.
