August 10, 200916 yr Hello everyone, Is there a eco-friendly way to dispose old batteries in Chiang Mai, especially rechargeables that contain heavy metals, or should I just throw it into the klong like my Thai neighbours? Cheers, CMX

August 10, 200916 yr I dump all my old ones in a box, then give then to the garbos when it's full. They seem to love them, and must know where to get a scrap price on them.

The battery shops will readily take your old lead acid batteries off your hands.
