A rescue team in Krabi managed to catch a 5 metre long python after it had swallowed the whole goat. The incident occured in Khao Thong of Krabi. After eating the poor goat belonging to a local farmer, the python went to hide in a bush nearby. It took a rescue team an hour before they managed to bring it out. The goat owner, Somnuek Kuanwilai, said he found out in the morning that one of his goats was missing. He then went out to look for it, but instead spotted a huge snake with giant stomach and suspected that it must be his missing goat. The villagers suspect that the python come out for food as the forest nearby has been redeveloped for property and palm plantation resulting in a decrease in natural feeding for wild animals.
