After the likes of Alien, Predator and other horror / bloodthirsty movies, I got hold of 'Walking with Dinosaurs' and found the woman in my life loves it and has asked me to get hold of similar programmes. Makes a great change from Thai soaps too !! :)

So anyone have any recommendations for similar programmes like Safari / Wildlife?

And what about your better half? Have you tried getting her / him to watch something similar? What sort of movies or DVDs are they into?

Please refrain from talking about Thai soaps as that has already been discussed to death on TV :D

Any BBC natural documentary is great especially the Planet Earth, the Blue Planet and the Continental series (separated pack of Wild Africa, Wide South America, Wild China etc.)

If you use Torrents and Torrent Harvester or similar just search for "David Attenborough", you'll get lots of titles, most of which my kids love, my wife too except when the Lions or other cats are hunting "those cute deer".

The BBC "Animal Cannibalism" from the late 90s is a bit hard for some's feeling. First part, animal eating its own kind. Second part, animal eating its offsprings.

If you liked walking with dinosaurs, then she'd also like walking with beasts.

And as mentioned above, pretty much anything done by David Attenborough and/or the BBC is very good.

Oh, and walking with cavemen is also very good, and educational.

Is that filmed between Sukhumvit So1 and Soi 7?

You're thinking of 'stumbling with neanderthals'.

Not quite so educational but just as entertaining.

Brilliant.

Thanks for the suggestions from you all.

Now I can set about acquiring some good wildlife progs :)

Hopefully spend a few more evenings in front of the television instead of going out to the usual haunts.
