What Is The Best Way To Get An Import Permit?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, If you could help me I would be very appreciated. I want to know what is the best way to get the import permit ASAP. I know the web site of Department of Livestock Development in Thailand and now they have E-service to fill the form then to get the import permit but the problem is that it requires the flight number to be filled in. I ordered a Dogo Argentino puppy from a kennel in Denmark and He need to be 3 months old then he will be allowed to import so we are waiting to import him next month ( September 2009 ) but before we can book the flight, we will need to get the import permit in Thailand first , What would be the best way to get that ASAP? Have anyone ever experienced in importing a dog? and this puppy already got Rabies Vaccine at 8 weeks old but the requirement said, he should be vaccinated against Rabies in 21 days before departures to Thailand. He already got Rabies at 8 weeks old! and next month he will be 3 months old puppy , Would it still be possible to import him? Are there anyway to get the Import Permit ASAP? do I have to send them Health Certificate and Vaccine Certificate at the airport or I can send via e-mail? what's their e-mail? If anyone could give me clearly info, I would be very appreciated. thank you very much...

What kind of (<deleted>) breeder vaccinate his/her pups with Rabies at 8! weeks old. It's VERY bad for the health of the puppy.

the rule to not vaccinate younger than 3 months has a reason!

And if DLD says not younger than 3 months, you have to wait with importation till the pup is that age.

Hello Nienke...Thank you for your reply. I agreed. Yes, they vaccined him too early but then I have called DLD , they said it should be ok to import him as long as he has got all necessary Vaccines he needed included Rabies , Leptospirosis and such... then he can have another vaccine again when he is 12 weeks old so I feel a bit better now heheh Thank you very much for opinion. ^__^
