Sathorn Immigration Office Still Open 8/15/09

Featured Replies

I was just in the Bangkok Immigration Office today in Satorn (Sathorn) area and they are still open. I saw some posts this morning when I was getting information that they may be closing this month or next. So, as of today they are open. They are open on Saturday's for tourist visa extensions and re-entry visas until 12 noon. Which is the best time to go for these services as it is pretty empty. Second time there. First time it took 10 minutes. Today it took about 20 minutes.

Question... why are all the paperwork and signs in English AND Thai? I didn't see any Thais going to the immigration office.

Best way to go... drive. Or, take the BTS to Sala Daeng and take a motorbike there. I got the sucker rate of 70 baht to the immigration office but only 40 baht to take a moto bike to the BTS. Their info below. Link at bottom to post that gives details on bus routes to get there.

Zen.

Actually there are a lot of Thai using Immigration office.

I would say the best way is by Metro to Lumphini Station

which is at the top end of Sathorn

Catch Taxi outside station to Soi Suan Phlu.

But it really depends where you are starting your Journey !!!!
