Where can i find a qualified hairdresser in Bangkok? Pref. one that also does haircuts for models and celebs. I don't mind paying more than 1000 baht, i just want it done properly because i don't have an easy haircut.

She or he must speak English and really understand what i'm saying.

Is that place in Emporium any good?

There's a few places in The Emporium...I've had a haircut a couple of times at the place opposite Nautica near the BTS entrance (called Shiseido?). A good cut and after handing out tips for the hair-washer, and the stylist I think it cost all in around 800 baht. (However, since QB Hut has opened at the Asoke MRT, I now pay 100 baht for a no-frills haircut).

I've noticed there's another place in The Emporium on the other side near Mango/MNG boutique which seems more popular with the trendier folks. Quite a few farang in there so I guess some English is understood.

I had been searching for a good hairdresser in Bangkok since the salon I used for years in Suan Plu disappeared a while ago, and yesterday I discovered HAIR MINUTE in the drive-in to the car park of the Asia Hotel between all the tailor shops.

A beautiful haircut by Aon, who speaks enough English to follow the instructions, and at Baht 250, certainly worth a visit.

sorry to ride on this topic, i am going to bangkok this saturday and am sourcing for a place to dye my hair. Any places to recommend? What are the prices like? My preferred loccation would be around Central World area, pratunam or petchaburi rd areas(am staying near there), because i'm only tad a familiar with these few areas. Thanks for helping!

My wife and I go to a french hairdresser at the Sofitel Silom Bangkok.

Name is David Drai (at Style Paris hairdresser) and he speaks perfect english as well.

Coiffeur Visagiste/Specialise Meches & Colorations

Make an appointment (Sofitel extension 1235 or 1236) and he is not cheap!

:)

If you want a flat top crew cut don't go there. I had my hair cut by the French guy at the Sofitel Silom yesterday and he messed up badly.

The worst hair cut I ever got except from one in Sri Lanka wink.gif

My swedish fiancee is an awsome hairdresser, she has worked on hip salons in sweden for several years and offcourse she speaks very good english and knows exactly what colours etc to use when doing expat hair. She can do hairextensions too if wanted.

We are now moving to thailand and plan to stay in Bkk or Pattaya, if some of you guys wants a good hairdresser just pm me and we can work something out.

She will be available from the 2 of march.
