One -day Car Transportation

Featured Replies

Need to break away from a travel group for one day on a Saturday or Sunday in late September for a meeting in Mae Sot. Looking for early morning car transportation from Kanchanaburi to Mae Sot; then late afternoon car transportation from Mae Sot to Phitsanulok to catch up with group and baggage. Any suggestions as to people (with their email address, if possible as I am in North America) who would do the one day/one way trip and to the estimated fare would be appreciated.

From Kanchanaburi to Mae Sot it is about 600+ km on "good roads", 400+ km on "not so good roads" which will take 9 to 12 hours in Thailand. From Mae Sot to Pitsanaluk it is another 250 km, additional 3 to 4 hours. When will you have time to visit somebody? The only possibility I see is you are on the cell phone to contact your friends whilst somebody drives you arround.

Plan more time for such a trip. It is no problem in Thailand to stay a night anywhere, especially if you have friends here.

Thanks for the wake-up call!!! Now to try to rephrase the question to make it more realistic(hopefully, that is) -

Need to break away from a travel group fn late September for a meeting in Mae Sot. Looking for early morning car transportation from Kanchanaburi on a Saturday to Mae Sot; then late afternoon car transportation from Mae Sot to Phitsanulok on the next day - Sunday - to catch up with group and baggage. Any suggestions, as to people (with their email address, if possible as I am in North America) who would do the two day/one way trip and to the estimated fare, would be appreciated.

I must drive a little faster than you as it takes me between 5 and 5.5 hours Kan to Mae Sot. I can get to Chiang Mai in less than 9 from Kan and if your odometer shows 600+ kms you must be taking the scenic route.

Kan-Suphan-Chainat-Nakhon Sawan-Kampaeng Phet-Tak-Mae Sot is about 500 kms.
