I used to dl the footy (AFL) from freedom torrents but now they use this other site aus.sierules.com. Problem is it wont let me register. Something about proxy servers.

I use hipe ip ng.22 pounds or 30 odd dollars a year but works for me for the bbc i player..You can have a Uk or USA proxy . Maybe will not detect this one ...Google it to find web site.Good luck

i never used true but when i used IRC in the past, i was a proxy server for some friends and it was detected on connection on IRC and i was not allowed to join.

i think some malware do the same job, are you sure you're not infected by something or a software acting the same way as a proxy?

No, it's definitely the proxy.

Even the site: tinypic.com I can't use because the proxy ip has been banned.

I am facing the same problem. I often read cell phone reviews on the net and one of the more popular sites (which unfortunately i can't remember just right now as i am not in front of my own computer) does no longer permit me to even view it - stating something to the tune of "your IP/country has been blocked". It does work just fine from work where i am behind a VPN.

The issue with True is that they indeed use a transparent proxy.

What you can do is use a different proxy (i was advised to do so by True themselves when i had issues with my line once so it can't be illegal), proxy.asianet.co.th, port 8080 for all protocols. Using it usually speeds up the web surfing quite a bit, but some days it is faster without it.

However my phone review site doesn't let me in with that one either.
