Tourist Visa Exemption Conundrum

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I’m flying from India to Bangkok this December 2nd and have a flight booked to Hanoi on January 5th 2010. I was planning to visit Siem Reap overland for 5 days towards the end of December, returning to Thailand on Jan 2nd. Will I be able to enter Thailand with a 30 day tourist visa exemption, then come back in from Cambodia using a 15 day visa exemption for the last few days I’m in Thailand?

Or would I be better off just getting the 60 day Tourist Visa (which I understand is free from the London Thai Embassy)?

I’m just concerned that my onward flight will be more than 30 days after my original arrival in Bangkok.

Sorry if this should be obvious, but I just can’t seem to get my head around these rules!! :)

Without a Visa and an onward ticket within 30 days you run the risk of not being allowed onto the flight.

Get a free Visa. :)

If you are an Indian national you cannot obtain a 30 day visa exemption stamp on arrival See Here Obtain a free tourist visa before you travel.
