Assuming you're referring to the GF-1 it isn't a fixed lens. SLR type compact with interchangeable lenses. Fixed lens, as in fixed focal length, ie non-zoom.

November 1, 200916 yr 'Fixed lens' is a commonly abbreviated term for fixed focal length lens. Look it up 'Prime lens' itself has two meanings as well. Anyway, I like the idea of this camera with the pancake 20m lens
November 3, 200916 yr Never been a fan of twisty screen gizmos. I have the G10 and it is great. I will stay with my G10, but apart from the flip-out screen, and a different Digic processor, what is different to the G7 ?

Look it up I thought the very reason they are called prime lens is to avoid such confusion that abbreviation can cause. I too thought you have mistaken GF-1 to be a camera whose lens is non-interchangeable.
