Bkk Transit Question

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I'm flying Thai Airways from Sydney to BKK , and Air India from BKK to Kolkata (india). I bought tickets separately and now my problem is whether I'll have to go through immigration to collect my checked luggage and then check in again at Air India counter at the airport for my departure to Kolkata?

Is it possible to ask Thai Airways to check my luggage through to Kolkata from Sydney? Please note I'm flying Two separate airlines with tickets purchased separately.

Cheers.

They codeshare with Thai so i would expect them to be able to check it right through..

as long as you have more than 2 hours between the flights (thai rule for connections between airlines, thai-thai is less) you should be ok
