falkan
Hey Is there any second hand shop in Phuket that sells fridge/refigerators? and even other kitchen stuff?
LivinginKata
Look about for any fridge repair shops. Often customers don't come back when they hear the repair price and these shops often stack outside for sale.
keestha
Shops selling second hand stuff are not unusual at all in Thailand, but as a rule they don't have a sign in English outside. Watch out for Thai signs saying ของ มือ สอง (kawng mue sawng). Alternatively check ads in the Phuket Gazette put in there by expats who are going back home. ad61
Have a look at "Lumpoon" second hand shop on Chao Fah Road, a few hundred meters before the red light intersection to the Phuket zoo when you come from Phuket town. You should be able to find what you are looking for cause they are selling quite a lot of household stuff (fridges, ovens, TV sets, sofas, beds, ect...) petercallen
There are expats leaving phuket at present and advertising online to sell there household goods in the phuket gazette, its a good way to buy at least you can see anything you are interested in working. lowprofile
I think there is a second hand shop on the lefthand side of Tepkasatri Road: Several hundred yards north of the traffic lights for Rajaphat University. (about a km north of Mission Hospital).
madmitch
Lumpoon's, as someone has suggested, also there's a very large shop not far from Makro on the opposite side of the road. One thing, you probably won't find anything particularly cheap. Phuket Gazette ads are a better source as farangs seem to have a better understanding of second-hand values than Thais. Alternatively, look for special deals in the likes of Makro, Big C and Tesco Lotus.
starkey_rich
I have also been looking for a secondhand fridge freezer and a chest freezer. Don't bother with the secondhand shops as their asking prices are well over the top not far short of the new price. So if anyone has a chest freezer or large fridge freezer for sale you know who to contact
