Where To Buy Gaffer Tape?

Featured Replies

Hi!

I am looking for original Gaffer tape in Bangkok, so far without luck. Any idea?

Also Gelatin Filters for Color correction and flash effects (Rosco or Lee)? These items must be available somewhere. But where?

Any leads appreciated!

Sunny

Sorry, what is Gaffer tape?

Won't duct tape, from the stationery shop suffice?

The difference is that Gaffer (or Gaffa, unsure ...) is by far more sturdy. I used it back home a lot, was a bit more pricey, but .... it almost never loses the stickyness, you can keep it on a shiny surface forever, and it still sticks to the wall or whatever ..... almost permanent recycling.

The cheap duct tape I find everywhere just does not do it ... I use it to stick my flash to the wall, or elsewhere. With Gaffer it stays there forever ....

Still searching .....

In US and Europe, it is a household name for every Sound and Light technician, or Stage technician.

I buy mine from mpex or bhphotovideo online never seen it in Thailand but very very very handy to have, if you want to order a group buy is pretty nice as the shipping is what is expensive.

Cheers Bard
