Britons continue to get into trouble abroad

We have released the latest annual British Behaviour Abroad report that reveals Britons are continuing to get into trouble abroad, with key concerns including drink and drug related cases.

Some excerpts:

* 812,000 British nationals visited Thailand in 2008 (Source: Tourism Authority of Thailand).

* 54 drug arrests

* 202 total arrest/detention

* 288 total death

* 198 hospitalisation

* 3 rape

* 774 lost/stolen passports

Without being cyni...suppose that means that the other 810,769......had a lovely holiday-visit-sex tour...or wotever.. :) and didnt .............

I presume most of the deaths are non-violent, such as retirees sucombing to cancer or heart disease. Otherwise, what's going on with 1,825 deaths in Spain? That seems big even if they were accidental deaths.

Edit, on a closer look at the number, Thailand's reported death rate relative to visitors and residents is twice the 2nd place Germany. Since it says reporting deaths is optional, it's not clear how much of this is due to maybe much lower reporting when someone dies in a European country, and how much is due to a really high rate.
