I'm staying in Railay East over New Year and leaving Krabi on 4th Jan - flying at 10.10am with Thai Airways.

Am I going to have enough time to get to the airport via boat and taxi....? Assume I need to be at the airport at least 1 hour before...

Theres long boats running at dawn. 5:30 am from Ao nang. You'll have plenty of time.

It is possible that you may arrive in time for your flight, however it will not be a relaxed departure.

The long boats generally do not leave the beach without a full compliment of passengers, the alternative is to pay extra for an exclusive journey. The trip will take approximately 20 minutes. It looks like it will be low tide on the 4th early-ish in the morning (only have Dec chart) which will influence arrival point at Ao Nang beach and thus taxi pickup point.

The taxi will be late and when it does meet you it will then take maybe 40 minutes to get you to the airport.

Departure from the beach at Railay no later than 7 am is highly recommended or preferably, stay the night in Ao Nang.

I really can't decide what to do now... Don't really want to leave Railay a day earlier but maybe for peace of mind it will be the best thing to do...

There is no road. Railey is secluded by 350 m high mountains and only accessible by boat
