Car auto tuning parts, styling, big tyres...............and on.

Does it exist any wellknown tuningcompanies in thailand.

Is there any car/tuning clubs ?

Is it legal to tune cars in thailand or will the goverment kill you? Must be a kick having a 500 hp beast in thailand (or maby it's just my devotion to speed).

And i seem to remember some styled tuk tuks and huge exhaust ends.

There are some car tuning/chipping companies, Brabus is here if you've got a Merc and a load of money, You can get Mitsu Evo's/Suburu Imprezas with 400++HP if you've 2-3 million spare.

there are many tuning companies around ,

Just look at the Thai magazines,

I was thinking more in line of tuning afordable cars like skyline , supra , 350 zx , 3000gt , silvia , 200sx ,mr2 , st 2000 .........well there is alot of cool cars to tune if you got some insight.

Theres a whole host of tuning stores around, a big one is out on Rama 2 road. For Jap motors, theres plenty of options, obviously not so much for Euro makes. The good thing about it here is that a tuned car keeps its value, I.E. the resale value would include any mods you carried out unlike back home where any money you throw at a car is dead money when you come to sell it.

I was really into the tuning scene back home, i was one of those sad people who spent all my available cash on my car, even to the detriment of my house etc. However, over here im happy to drive my big 4x4. I dont see the point of tuning here. Theres no option to drive fast in Bangkok, and out on the open road youd be a nugget to really open up a fast motor, IMHO.

At the Bira Circuit just outside Pattaya you can rent the track on days when they don't have events on.

Me i'm just a ordinary bloke................

What kind of events do they normally have , is there any racing series going on in thailand?

yeh, there's the Asian Supercar series on there on 10 April. I think that's the next major event. I remember seeing the Porsche cup there last year some time. Every weekend there's something or other going on - even if it's motorbikes or gocarts;)
