With all the problems re. imigration stamps. Every British ex-pat is set to "lose" his passport. Does the British Embassy have the facility to cope with this? Will any special measures be set up to ease the paperwork for both them and us? i.e. Renewal of passport on request by surrendering the old one?

Anyone got any ideas or news on this?

I would think if they are having to much work regarding new passports they surely would have some of the processing and manufactoring done back in the UK, if not all of them..

It would only take about 2 weeks for a new one to be made and sent back to BKK for pickup.

In the mean time the embassy can issue a emergency passport only valid for one year or so.
