DaraRai
Does anyone know where I can buy traditional Thai musical instruments (I live in the USA)? I'm particularly interested in the ranat ek. Also does anyone know if it's similar to the violin (as in musical notes, etc.), or similar enough that I could learn to play it on my own? mizzi39
Check out eBay. There is about 60 listings under Thai musical instrument. If you order an instrument here in Thailand shipping to the States will probably cost you more than the instrument itself. Good luck! Update: Just checking the listing on eBay. Most of the instruments look decent, and most of your sellers are in Thailand. Shipping looks to be around 12-15 dollars which is not to bad. Make sure you get insurance though.
