hmj Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 On the link below you can find following petition for Garmin Software for Linux. To: Garmin Ltd. Currently, Garmin software is only supported for Windows 2000 and up. We would like to see Garmin Cartography software, such as Mapsource, ported to the Linux operating system. We would also like to point out that many people in the Linux community would be glad to help out in the porting and beta testing of the software. Sincerely, http://www.petitiononline.com/Garmin/petition.html More than 1700 have signed this petition.
noahvail Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Garmin supports Mac OS4 and 5. As soon as my Snow Leopard disc arrives, I'll be able to tell you if it's compatible with that version as well. On-line petitions? Companies in general don't bother looking at them, simply because they can't be verified. And this one really is bad because it doesn't recognize Garmin's efforts in releasing programs for the Mac - so not a good start.
