Haloween Ideas

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Does anybody have any good ideas for activities for haloween day at my school next month grades 3 - 12

Thank you kindly for any help you can give.

For Gawds sake don't get them into 'intimidating' people by going "trick or treat"'ing. When this practice was adopted in the UK there were many of the 'older generation' that felt VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

Just stick with pumpkin carving, and the historical/traditional aspects.

It sounds like you are having one day for a lot of different aged kids?

I'd suggest some classroom-based activity such as mask-making, hat-making, or similar.

Simply adapt some familiar games like a hammer-board race, relay race or monsters-game with unusual flashcards about witches, monsters, ghosts etc. Don't re-invent the wheel!

Depending on how brave you are, organize your staff to create a Halloween play to show the kids. Great opportunity to dress-up, make the kids laugh and listen to more English. 1 hour plus in the school hall.

Following this, your school hall or similar could be divided up into game sections such as apple-bobbing, pin the tail on the ghost? there must be more!

Good luck!
