Non Immigrant Visa Type B Questions

Featured Replies

Can any advise us please! We have been offered a job in Thailand and have been sent the invitation letters to take to the embassy in London, however the embassy are always engaged and cannot get through to them to make an appointment, will we get our visa the same day as our appointment? do we pay for the visa and will we also need a work permit, do you still need a yellow fever jab to get into Thailand? Do we have to renew it after 90 days? We would really appreciate any help. Thank you

Contact one of the consulates listed near the bottom of this webpage. http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/newversion.../visa_inst.html

The embassy in known for giving poor service. You will not get it the same day. The consulates listed will do mail in applications.

You only need the yellow fever shot if you have been to one of the countries listed here. http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2482.php?id=2494

You cannot renew a visa. If you get a work permit and the company qualifies you can get a 1 year extension of stay at immigration. Otherwise you will have to leave and get a new visa after 90 days unless you get a multiple entry visa. With a multiple entry visa you have to leave every 90 days and return getting another entry.

As said apply anywhere but the Embassy. Hull is the best option Hull Consulate

The Non Imm Visa fees are £45 for a single entry of up to 90 days. £100 for a Multi Entry.

Yes you need a Work Permit to work.
