Tourist Visa Extension

Featured Replies

My frined's tourist visa is expiring 5th OCT.

She spend 60days + 30days already.

If she cross the border by bus on 20th SEP,

Does she get 15 days extention from 5th OCT or

she will get 15 days from the day she cross border ? (20OCT)

From time of return to Thailand. It is not an extension but a new visa exempt entry into Thailand.

She will get 15 days om the day she enters Thailand again, so from 20th Sept. Best she try's to get a new tourst visa from an eighbouring country.

I'm going to give that question to my math class! The higher ups are always pushing to give students problems in their own vernacular.... indeed a beautiful example!

I am a little confused. First you say 20 Sept. then 20 Oct. Which is it?

Is it her visa that is expiring on 5 Oct. or her permit to stay?

What is her permit to stay date? That is the date she has to leave the country.

As said she will get a 15 day entry on the date she enters the country.

The 20 October would be 15 days added to the 5 October date. The plan seemed to be to do it early but get 15 days more. But it does not work that way.

Ubonjoe, a small off topic diversion if I may... I want to find out about the most economical way to make outbound phone calls, US-> Thailand, is there a forum for this?

Here is the best way to call I found when I was in the states. I had a seconds card and $20 lasted for months.
