Mickey88
Dear All, Does someone has a list of wirelles hotspots here in Bangkok. Do we have to apply for it via a ISP? Is it free or do they charge per hour? Regards, Michael

Guest IT Manager
Hi Zen, Where did you find the list?
Ugots2Believe
If MacDonald's Ploenchit has Wi-Fi, the staff there sure doesn't seem to know anything about it; I saw this list before and went into McD's to enquire about it. They suggested I ask about it at the Internet Cafe elsewhere in the Pleonchit Center.
Ugots2Believe
Starbucks (Emporium) was giving free 30-minute Wi-Fi sessions up until Oct. 1st I tied to use it on two occasions; could not connect once was successful connecting once; no configuration problems and good speed. The promotion is now over and it's my understanding one must now be an M-Web Max (whatever that is) subscriber in order to use the service at Starbucks. Zendesigner
hi it man :-) i found it on a wifi search site somewhere . don't know how accurate everything still is though. i myself tried in starbucks last week first in the emporium where they said they were out of cards and didn't know when they would get some more. then at lang suan where they still had them. but i must say connection was lousy. i was one of three people with a laptop there. connection dropped two times in the middle of my email download so had to start all over again. went to a regular internet cafe next. couldn't get my mail anyway. bart

nevele
I found a great reference when i was working remote. If you go to travelmonks.com and on the left side click on the free wifi links, it will drop you at a search result of all kinds of free wireless internet places. They have a lot of information on teh place itself, and a map that shows how to get there as well as how far they are away from the other spots. Its the nicest listing ive seen, and they all seem current which is more than i can say for stickmans list...
