September 8, 200916 yr The last two times i have been at macro i have bought a boned forequarter roast of new zealand lamb for 299 baht a kg up to half the price you pay in other supermarkets, the beef is very reasonably priced as well but you have to buy the whole cut and its to much for me. If you are buying electrical goods they are always worth checking out before you purchase there prices can be very good. I bought a washing machine there which was a 1000 baht cheaper than the competition and they delivered for free(it was on special). whats your opinion of macro.

The only place in Phuket we have ever been able to buy FRESH figs, and they were delicious. Don'tknow if they are still available this was two weeks ago. Joints and veg are usually excellent value and they are good for frozen fruit you may not get elsewhere; generally worth a visit, or a diversion as michelin would say
September 8, 200916 yr The veg section is that best value in town. Just don't get behind a Thai buying for his/her shop or restaurant. The electrical dept offers good value for money, but the range is very limited. Look out for the manager's specials that pop up until sold out. You can save at least 1,000 baht on a TV.
