Immigration Office

Featured Replies

We have had a report from a Member that as of 7th October He will have to deal with Ayudhya Immigration Office and not Kanchanaburi as He has done up to now.

He lives in Suphanburi. Anyone up for a visit to Immigration in that area next month might be advised to check before going.

Together with other reports/rumours of changes to Immigration Offices there does appear to be something in the pipeline for next month or maybe later.

We shall wait and see.

yeah...a while back Ayudhya was the immigration reporting office for those residing in Suphanburi. Then last year when immigration started enforcing the requirement for people to use their local office for new extension applications and etc. the local office for Suphanburi residents became Kanchanaburi. Now we are informed that we are back to status quo ante, the new arrangement to coincide with the changes to Suan Plu/Bangkok and for offices in Issan, looks like. Folks might want to be aware in case there are other changes to local office reporting requirements elsewhere that haven't been announced.

The Ayudhya office is closer to where I live but the drive to Kanchanaburi is nicer. There was confusion previously as the Ayudhya office details did not appear on a list of immigration offices that was previously posted on the forum. There has since been a thread to clarify these details and that also includes a map either in the Central Thailand or in the visa section of the forum.
