September 9, 200916 yr In my passport I have the usual stamp they put at the airport immigration "Admitted until...", for me it is 27 Sep 2009. I just applied for 1 year extension of stay based on business. I got back my passport today and the immigration bureau of Suan Plu put another stamp into my passport: Bangkok, Thailand. Application for extension of stay is under consideration of the police dept. Applicant must contact the temporary permit section in person on 5 Oct 2009. Signed xxx I would like to know if this stamp covers my stay after 27 Sep 2009 till 05 Oct 2009. Your help is appreciated. Edited September 9, 200916 yr by sunray69
September 9, 200916 yr Yes - that is what it is for. If you applied for a one year extension of stay (not a residence permit) then it is the normal 30 days later for Thai family application. On that day the extension of stay will most likely have been approved and a one year permitted to stay until stamp will be placed in your passport.

I updated my original post from "resident permit" to "1 year extension of stay"...
