But now I am no longer living here but come here often for 2 to 3weeks, can I renew my driver license (a 5 yr one) with a tourist visa ? I still own a condo in BKK. monty Posted September 10, 2009 Share Posted September 10, 2009 Legally you have to be on a non immigrant visa. So it will depend if immigration will issue you with the residence paper. The Pattaya Driver License center is happy as long as you have the immigration paper stating it is for a drivers license application!
